Day 10

Today we drove from Herkimer, NY to Lake George, NY in the Adirondac Mountains. We stayed at King Phillips RV Park and Campground. The site we were given was awesome. Trees lined the park and our space was huge.

After setting up camp with the RV, We drove the CR-V to Schroon Lake to check out the sights and the fall colors. Very beautiful. The New York we have seen so far is nothing like the sterotypical image Californians have. Beautiful scenic freeways and highway. Every rest stop and visitor center so far has been very clean and landscaped very nice.

All of the photos below were taken in the state of New York.

Here is a photo of Schroon Lake from the road that runs along the lake.

The first view of fall colors we have seen close up. the colors are so vibrant that photos can never do it justice. You just have to see it for yourself someday.

We stopped at a small public beach on the lake. What a beautiful setting. Adirondack chairs and tables on the beach were graffiti free and not bolted down.

Here is another view of the trees from the public beach.

Driving back to the RV park, Sue snapped this photo of the trees along the road.

Sue & I decided that we like these Adirondack chairs, so we took them (just kidding) but we do plan on someday getting a couple of them, very comfortable.
I know the photo looks tilted, thats because we were. I tried to straighten the photo bt the lake then looked like it was tilted the other way.
